Sailing School News
Chocolate Eclare claimed a decisive first
victory in Races 1 to 4 of the Yellow Jersey
Twilight Challenge on Friday 12 November.
Racy Reynald and his
performing crew of Sarah, Ben & Adrian
were jubliant post race, with shouts of
"Chocolate Eclare the Destroyer."
Race 5 saw a subtle shift of power as secret
weapon Steeley flew back to Oz to rescue the
Xcess crew. Cuckoo's Nest is so new that the crew were
still busy unwrapping the plastic off the jib
sheets at the start line, but is proving to be
an absolute joy to sail.

Charter Boat Update
Scanyacht 391 adds depth
Great news as the charter boat
industry starts to kick once more. We
welcomed the Scanyacht "Paldies" to the
fleet earlier in the season. Replacing the
outgoing stalwart Megisti, Paldies has wowed
our established bareboat charter clientele and is
proving a popular choice on our inshore skipper
classes.

Marine Life - Crocs Shoes
No
doubt you've all seen Chris sashaying down the wharf
with his brand new Crocs Shoes on... and wondered
what on earth are those? Well "those" are
light and durable shoes perfect for water sports,
and that includes sailing. Whilst perhaps not
the most glamorous of items they provide firm grip
to ensure that you will not end up in the drink, and
so will
look smart and sassy at your post sailing soiree.
Easy to clean Crocs shoes will be a firm favourite
in every yachtie's wardrobe.

Wedding Bells
are clanging
Congratulations to Steve and Sue, an unreal couple!
Sue came to us for sailing lessons and it wasn't long before
we introduced her to the joys of racing. As corny as
it sounds we wish them fair sailing and fine winds in their
married life together.
Night
Stalker Takes a Tilt at the Title
It's on
for young and old this Christmas with the 60th Rolex Sydney
to Hobart promising a bumper fleet. Chris
Matthews and the crew of Wadadli have traded her in for a
brand new Sydney 38OD, with new moniker "ZEN" in
their bid to claim the silverware. The
Night Stalker is joined on his southbound journey by Bazza
Ryan and new yacht instructor George Hinings.
Europe
Dismissed!
The
Europe, formerly the single handed women's dinghy class at
the Olympics has been replaced with the laser radial class
due to an apparent lack of interest in the class.
Congratulations firstly to George
Hinings and Brad Payten as they gained their yacht
instructor ticket this month. George started with us
as a dinghy instrutor and Brad has recently joined us as a
charter skipper.
As we spin Mike Steele has answered the
call of Xcess, packed away his boardshorts and flung
away his UK winter woolies. Catch Mike vying
for the Yellow Flag on Friday nights and in our Racing
Toolbox and Learn to Sail Courses this Summer.
