Matthews set up Simply Sailing
in 1996 it was with a vision to offer high
quality sail training in a friendly and professional
environment.
Today, Chris Matthews and Simply Sailing offer bareboat and
skippered charters on a 39ft yacht and private sailing
tuition.
About Chris
Matthews, Principal
Principal Chris Matthews, is
known for his passion for sailing. Chris has been
sailing in Sydney Harbour since he was knee high to a
grasshopper, and now has over 27 years
commercial sailing experience
- chartering, teaching, inshore and offshore racing.
Born and raised in Middle
Harbour, Chris holds the prestigious
Yachting Australia
Yachtmaster Offshore (Instructor Endorsed),
Yachting Australia Offshore Racing
Skipper (Instructor Endorsed) and Master V Sail qualifications.

Australia's certificates of Coastal Skipper and the pinnacle

charter companies around the world will also recognise
Yachting Australia's Inshore skipper certificate as sufficient
evidence of capability to hire a bareboat yacht.
